Linking to the booking system

In general to create a button to link to the booking system you need to follow these steps:

1) Log into the OpenYourDiary site and make sure you are on the provider dashboard (grey background, coloured boxes). If not, then look in the upper righthand corner of the screen and click on “Provider dashboard”

2) Click on the “Links” option in the main white navigation bar

3) Click make sure “Simple buttons” is selected in the grey navigation bar

4) Look on the page for the service you wish to add the button/link for and then select the options to customise that button

5) Cut and paste the code displayed in the right hand white box into the page on your website

6) Save the page and then load it in a browser and test the link / button works by submitting an appointment.

tips:

When adding the code to your website, make sure you are in the code/HTML view of the web site authoring tool you are using rather than just adding text to your web page.

To test the button / link the webpage does not need to be uploaded to your website, you can test it locally on your desktop PC as long as you are connected to the internet
